Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a dependable and motivated Dishwasher/Kitchen Helper to support our busy restaurant operations. This role is essential in maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen environment. The ideal candidate will assist with food preparation, dishwashing, and general kitchen duties to ensure smooth service and uphold food safety standards. Prior restaurant or food industry experience is a plus but not required; a positive attitude and willingness to learn are highly valued.

Responsibilities

Wash dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment promptly and efficiently
Assist with meal preparation and food handling tasks as directed by kitchen staff
Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen, including counters, sinks, and workstations
Support food service operations by organizing supplies and ensuring proper storage of ingredients
Follow food safety protocols to ensure hygiene standards are met at all times
Help with basic food prep tasks such as chopping vegetables or assembling ingredients when needed
Ensure that all health and safety regulations are adhered to in the kitchen environment

Skills

Experience in cooking, food preparation, or restaurant service is preferred but not mandatory
Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Good organizational skills with attention to cleanliness and detail
Ability to work well as part of a team and follow instructions accurately
Basic understanding of the food industry operations and customer service principles
Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks such as washing dishes or cleaning surfaces

Pay: $17.20-$20.00 per hour
