Full job description

Responsibilities:

Translate client and designer objectives into clear, accurate drawing sets and documentation.

Produce and refine drawings including floor plans, elevations, sections, details, and dimensioning from concept through construction.

Maintain and update drawing packages across all phases: Concept / Design Development / Permit / Construction Documentation.

Support budgeting by helping define scope, requirements, and drawing-based information that impacts cost.

Assist with project scheduling by tracking drawing deliverables, revisions, and submission deadlines; maintain strong version control.

Organize and incorporate material/product information (finishes, fixtures, furniture) into drawings, schedules, and specifications.

Create presentation materials (mood boards, finish boards, visual layouts) to support design communication.

Produce high-quality 3D models and renderings as needed to support client presentations and decision-making.

Use drafting/design software and computational tools to produce drawings, models, renderings, and presentations efficiently.

Coordinate drawing updates with renovation/construction stakeholders (contractors, consultants, vendors) to support smooth execution.

Conduct site measurements/field verification as required and update as-built documentation.

Support post-completion walkthroughs/inspections to confirm the work aligns with drawings and project goals.

Requirements:

Portfolio showcasing drafting and documentation work (construction drawing sets and details preferred).

Experience supporting renovation/construction projects within North America.

Strong understanding of construction documentation standards, detailing, and coordination.

Project coordination/management experience (schedules, scope tracking, revisions, submissions, budgeting support).

Experience with computational design workflows/tools is an asset.

Strong communication skills with the ability to interpret feedback and quickly convert it into accurate revisions.

Proficiency in AutoCAD (required); familiarity with SketchUp, Illustrator, or similar tools preferred.

3D rendering experience is a plus (e.g., Enscape, V-Ray, Lumion, Twinmotion, Blender, 3ds Max).

Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

Pay: $40,000.00-$55,000.00 per year
