We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Gas Fitter (G2 or G1) to join our growing team. This role is focused primarily on underground gas piping installations, trench line drops, steel gas piping, threading, pressure testing, and project execution for residential and light commercial projects throughout the GTA.
We are looking for a technician who can work independently, lead installations in the field, coordinate with builders and site supervisors, and take ownership of projects from start to finish.
Key Responsibilities
- Install underground gas piping systems for residential and light commercial projects
- Complete trench line gas installations from meter to appliance locations
- Thread, install, and assemble steel gas piping systems
- Perform pressure testing, leak testing, and commissioning
- Interpret site plans, gas schematics, and mechanical drawings
- Coordinate with builders, project managers, and other trades on-site
- Install gas lines for:
- Pool heaters
- Fireplaces
- Generators
- BBQs
- Furnaces
- Boilers
- Commercial equipment
- Ensure all work complies with TSSA regulations and applicable codes
- Maintain accurate job documentation, photos, and project notes
- Manage material requirements and communicate project needs proactively
- Lead apprentices and junior technicians when assigned
Requirements
Mandatory:
- Valid Ontario G2 Gas Technician Licence (G1 considered an asset)
- Minimum 3 years of gas piping installation experience
- Experience with underground gas piping and trench installations
- Experience threading and installing black iron gas piping
- Valid G Driver's Licence with clean driving record
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Strong Assets:
- Experience operating trenching equipment
- Knowledge of residential and light commercial gas systems
- Experience reading blueprints and site plans
- Pool heater, generator, or fireplace installation experience
- Leadership or crew lead experience

Schedule Expectations
This is a full-time position, Monday–Friday.
Occasional Saturdays maybe required during peak season but scheduled in advance.
