What You’ll Do

As the Cafe Commissary & Catering Lead, you will oversee daily catering production, manage kitchen logistics, and inspire our catering prep team. You'll bridge the gap between culinary execution and customer satisfaction by ensuring every order goes out on time, complete, and to our high visual standards.

Lead Production: Hands-on preparation of large volume pastries, desserts, and simple savoury catering menu items.
Manage Team & Workflow: Build weekly schedules to hit labor targets, train kitchen staff, and foster a positive, solution-oriented kitchen culture.
Maintain High Standards: Conduct regular quality checks, enforce strict food safety/FIFO protocols, and ensure health inspection readiness.
Administrative Operations: Oversee catering inventory, manage par levels, track waste, verify invoices, and monitor the Catering Calendar.
Cross-Department Collaboration: Partner with our Catering Sales Lead, Feast Department Chefs, and Cafe Kitchen Leads to align on product availability, modifications, and production timelines.

What We’re Looking For

Experience: 3+ years as a Cook or Chef. Production baking experience is a major asset, alongside comfort with simple savoury applications, staff scheduling, inventory management and overall team and employee management skills required
Certifications: Valid Food Handler’s Certificate and First Aid Training (or willingness to obtain upon hire).
Leadership Skills: Proven ability to delegate, coach staff, manage performance reviews, and handle busy shifts with composure.
Organizational Mastery: Strong problem-solving abilities, comfortable managing prep schedules, invoices, and inventory control.
Schedule Flexibility: Ability to work early mornings, mid-shifts, weekends, and holidays as business demands require.

Pay: $48,000.00-$50,000.00 per year
