Kids Movement Instructor (Dance & Yoga) – Toronto Area
Pay: $30.00–$40.00 per hour
Job Type: Part-time
Expected Hours: 5–15 hours per week

Busy Minds Education is a leading mobile enrichment organization that partners with schools, childcare centres, camps, and community organizations across the GTA to deliver engaging movement, mindfulness, yoga, dance, and physical literacy programs for children.
We are currently seeking energetic, reliable, and passionate Kids Movement Instructors with experience in dance, yoga, fitness, recreation, education, or child development to join our growing team.
This is an excellent opportunity for dance instructors, yoga teachers, ECEs, education students, recreation leaders, performers, and fitness professionals who enjoy working with children and making a positive impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead engaging dance, yoga, movement, mindfulness, and physical activity programs for children ages 3–12.
- Create a positive, inclusive, and encouraging learning environment.
- Use music, storytelling, games, and creative movement to keep children engaged.
- Support children's social-emotional development through movement and mindfulness activities.
- Manage group dynamics using positive behaviour guidance techniques.
- Arrive prepared and on time to schools, childcare centres, camps, and community locations.
- Communicate professionally with Busy Minds staff and partner organizations.
Qualifications
Preferred Experience:
- 1–2 years of experience working with children in a teaching, coaching, camp, childcare, recreation, or educational setting.
- Experience teaching dance, yoga, fitness, gymnastics, sports, movement, drama, or related programs.
Assets:
- Dance training or teaching experience.
- Yoga certification (RYT-200 or equivalent).
- Children's yoga training.
- Early Childhood Education background.
- Camp counselling or recreation leadership experience.
Requirements
- Passion for working with children.
- Strong communication and classroom management skills.
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel within the GTA.
- Valid driver's licence and access to a vehicle preferred.
- Ability to pass a Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening.
- Availability during school-day, after-school, or camp programming hours.
