Cook – Hunters Hut Restaurant

Hunters Hut Restaurant is looking for a reliable, hardworking, and experienced Cook to join our kitchen team. We serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and we are looking for someone who can work efficiently in a busy restaurant environment while maintaining high standards of food quality, cleanliness, and safety.

Responsibilities:

Prepare and cook breakfast, lunch, and dinner menu items according to restaurant standards.
Follow recipes, portion sizes, and food presentation guidelines.
Prepare ingredients, sauces, vegetables, meats, and other food items as required.
Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work station.
Follow all food safety and hygiene regulations.
Monitor food quality, freshness, and proper storage.
Work efficiently during busy periods and handle multiple orders at the same time.
Communicate and work effectively with other kitchen and front-of-house staff.
Assist with inventory, food preparation, and general kitchen duties when required.
Minimize food waste and maintain proper portion control.

Requirements:

Previous restaurant cooking experience is preferred.
Experience preparing breakfast, lunch, and dinner is an asset.
Ability to work in a fast-paced and busy kitchen environment.
Good knowledge of food preparation and kitchen safety.
Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately.
Strong teamwork and communication skills.
Reliable, punctual, and hardworking.
Ability to maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the shift.
Food Handler Certificate is required.
Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays, is an asset.
