The Role:
Operations Coordinator
Position Summary:
The Operations Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and managing the daily scheduling of locksmith technicians, ensuring timely response to customer requests, and maintaining clear communication between clients, technicians, and management. This role requires excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
- Receive and prioritize incoming service requests via phone, email, or digital platforms.
- Schedule and dispatch locksmith technicians to residential, commercial, and automotive jobs.
- Monitor technician schedules, locations, and job progress throughout the day to ensure efficiency and timely service.
- Communicate with customers to confirm appointments, provide updates, and follow up after service completion.
- Maintain accurate records of service calls, customer details, job status, and billing information in dispatch software.
- Coordinate emergency or after-hours service requests as needed.
- Collaborate with management and technicians to resolve scheduling conflicts, delays, or service issues.
- Assist with inventory tracking and ordering of locksmith supplies if required.
- Support customer service and administrative functions as part of the operations team.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional administrative or customer service training preferred.
- Previous experience as a dispatcher, scheduler, or coordinator—preferably in the locksmith/hardware, security, skilled trades or field service industry.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Proficient with scheduling or dispatch software (e.g., ServiceTitan, Jobber, Housecall Pro, etc.).
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle urgent service requests efficiently.
- Basic understanding of locksmith terminology and services is an asset (training provided).
Compensation & Benefits:
- $25.00 $30.00 per hour based on experience.
- Health and dental insurance available
- 2 weeks vacation and 5 paid sick days per year.
- Hours: Monday – Friday 8:00am – 5:00pm
- Location: 337 Simcoe Street South, Oshawa (in office)
Employment is contingent upon meeting applicable security screening requirements
