IB High School Science & Math Teacher Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Science, Mathematics, Education, or a related field
Valid teaching certification (OCT preferred for Ontario schools)
Qualification to teach Senior High School Science and Mathematics courses
Ability to teach one or more subjects including Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Functions, Advanced Functions, Calculus, or Data Management
Experience teaching IB MYP and/or IB DP curriculum preferred
Strong understanding of inquiry-based and student-centered learning approaches
Ability to support students in laboratory work, scientific investigations, mathematical problem-solving, and internal assessments
Excellent classroom management, communication, and organizational skills
Experience integrating technology into teaching and learning
Ability to work collaboratively with students, parents, and colleagues
Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment

Preferred Qualifications:

IB workshop/training certification
Experience preparing students for IB assessments and examinations
Ability to teach both Science and Mathematics courses at the senior high school level
Previous experience teaching ESL or diverse learners is an asset
Experience in private school or international school settings preferred

Pay: $25.00-$40.00 per hour
