About Polaris Eye Care

Polaris Eye Care is a modern optometry clinic dedicated to providing thoughtful, patient-focused eye care in a warm and welcoming environment. We value teamwork, learning, and creating positive experiences for both our patients and our staff.

We are seeking a motivated Optometric Assistant who enjoys working with people, learning new skills, and contributing to a positive clinic environment. This role is ideal for someone who is personable, adaptable, and able to multitask in a busy setting. Training will be provided.

What You’ll Do

Welcome patients warmly and help guide them through their visit
Help patients select frames and lenses and perform fittings and adjustments
Assist with optical sales and day-to-day clinic operations
Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting clinic and retail space
Book, confirm, and manage eye exam appointments
Assist with patient pre-testing and prepare patients for their eye exams (training provided)
Support contact lens fittings and patient education (training provided)
Handle administrative tasks such as verifying insurance information and processing payments
Work collaboratively with the team to ensure smooth clinic flow

Experience

Customer service or retail experience preferred (healthcare an asset)
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
Comfortable learning new systems and processes
Previous optical experience or familiarity with optical products is a plus but not required
