Some of the products provided by Optik K&R are: contact lenses, eyeglass (ophthalmic) lenses, frames and accessories. Both stock and custom lenses are available through Optik K&R. Eyeglass lenses are manufactured on a made-to-order basis.

JOB DESCRIPTION
As a Lens Technician you will assist the lens FINISHING team primarily with TINTING (coloring) ophthalmic lenses for use primarily as sunglasses. You must have good color perception and will be required to chemical products. Precise attention is required to ensure color matching customer requirements.
Primarily you will be required to:
- Prepare and operate lens tinting machines, adjusting temperature, time, and dye concentration;
- Perform lens tinting according to production orders, recipe specifications, and lens material;
- Monitor and replenish tinting solutions (dyes, neutralizers, fixatives), ensuring their effectiveness and safety;
- Visually inspect tinted lenses for defects (spots, color inconsistencies, or bubbles);
- Perform basic cleaning of tinting equipment

REQUIREMENTS
- Lens Tinting Experience
- English communication skills both verbal and written.
- Combining colors to match a sample
- Ophthalmic (contact lens, eyeglasses, etc.) experience preferred
- Must be able to stand for extended periods of time and able perform repetitive movements with upper and lower extremities.
- High School - Required
