Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Painters Helper to join our team. This entry-level position offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in residential and commercial painting projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, good communication skills, and a willingness to learn new skills. Prior painting experience is a plus but not required; training will be provided to ensure your success in this role.

Duties

Assist lead painters with surface preparation, including sanding, scraping, and caulking to ensure optimal paint adhesion
Prepare work areas and handling of tools and equipment.
Support with the application of paint on various surfaces as directed and demonstrated.
Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools, disposing of waste properly, and ensuring safety protocols are followed
Help with the installation of protective coverings and masking materials for precise painting results
Collaborate effectively with team members to meet project deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards
Communicate clearly with supervisors regarding project progress or any issues encountered during work

Requirements

Prior experience in construction, restoration, or related fields is preferred but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential
Basic knowledge of hand tools, power tools, carpentry, rigging, and caulking techniques is advantageous.
Strong communication skills and the ability to follow instructions carefully
Good time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently
Physical stamina to perform manual labor including lifting up to 50 pounds and working at heights when necessary
Reliable transportation to job sites; punctuality is a must
A positive attitude with a focus on safety and teamwork

Pay: From $20.00 per hour
