Pioneer Group is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Part-Time Bookkeeper & Administrative Coordinator to support our day-to-day bookkeeping, payroll, financial recordkeeping, and general administrative operations.
The ideal candidate has at least 3 years of relevant bookkeeping/accounting experience, with hands-on experience in payroll and bookkeeping.
This position requires a high level of accuracy, responsibility, organization, and confidentiality. The successful candidate should be comfortable working independently, managing financial records carefully, and supporting general office administration when required.
Fluent English is required. Mandarin Chinese and/or Cantonese is preferred.
Key ResponsibilitiesBookkeeping & Accounting
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records
- Record and categorize business transactions
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Prepare and issue invoices and track outstanding payments
- Perform bank and credit card reconciliations
- Maintain expense records, receipts, invoices, and supporting documentation
- Assist with payroll processing and payroll recordkeeping
- Maintain employee payroll-related records and documentation
- Review financial transactions for accuracy and completeness
- Organize bookkeeping records for month-end and year-end purposes
- Prepare financial documents and records for management and external accountants as required
- Maintain organized electronic and physical accounting records
- Assist with other bookkeeping and accounting-related tasks as assigned
Payroll
- Support regular payroll processing
- Maintain accurate employee payroll information
- Track payroll-related changes and documentation
- Review payroll information for accuracy before processing
- Maintain confidential payroll and employee records
- Assist with payroll-related inquiries and documentation as required
Administrative Support
- Maintain organized company files and documentation
- Perform data entry and document management
- Prepare and organize internal forms, spreadsheets, and records
- Assist with email correspondence and general office administration
- Support document filing, scanning, and record maintenance
- Coordinate administrative tasks with internal team members
- Assist management with day-to-day operational and administrative needs
- Perform other administrative duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of relevant bookkeeping, accounting, or similar professional experience
- Hands-on experience with bookkeeping
- Hands-on experience with payroll processing or payroll administration
- Strong understanding of basic accounting and bookkeeping principles
- Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, invoicing, and reconciliations
- Strong Microsoft Excel and general computer skills
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple responsibilities
- Reliable, responsible, and able to follow through on assigned tasks
- Strong sense of confidentiality when handling financial and employee information
- Fluent English communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Mandarin Chinese and/or Cantonese language skills
- Experience using QuickBooks or similar bookkeeping/accounting software
- Experience using payroll software or payroll platforms
- Previous experience working in a small or medium-sized business environment
- Experience supporting both accounting and administrative functions
- Strong Excel skills

Work Arrangement
This is a part-time contract position with an anticipated start date in October 2026.
The work schedule and expected weekly hours will be discussed during the interview process.
