Overview
We are seeking a friendly and attentive Gas Station Cashier to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide excellent customer service, handle transactions efficiently, and maintain a clean and organized station environment.. This role offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced retail setting, engaging with diverse customers while ensuring smooth operations at the pump and convenience store. The position requires strong communication skills, organizational abilities, and a professional attitude to deliver an exceptional customer experience.

Responsibilities

KNOWLEDGE OF TOBACCO AND LOTTO SALES WILL BE AN ASSET

Greet customers warmly and assist with fueling, purchases, and inquiries
Operate POS systems accurately for cash, credit, and debit transactions
Handle cash handling procedures with precision and integrity
Upsell products and promote store specials or promotions to increase sales
Maintain cleanliness of the cashier area, store shelves, and fuel pumps
Manage product merchandising to ensure attractive displays
Provide product demos or information when needed to enhance customer engagement
Ensure compliance with safety protocols and company policies during all transactions
Assist customers with questions about products or services in a courteous manner
Manage time effectively during busy periods to minimize wait times and improve service efficiency

Qualifications

Previous experience in cashiering, retail sales, or customer service preferred
Strong communication skills
Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately
Knowledge of POS systems and retail merchandising practices
Excellent organizational skills and time management abilities
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism
Demonstrated ability to upsell products and provide exceptional customer service
Flexibility to work varied shifts including weekends or holidays if required

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: $18.00-$19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32.0 – 40.0 per week

Work Location: In person
