Full job description

Job Summary

We are looking for a full-time Pharmacist Assistant/Receptionist to provide drug dispensing service and excellent customers’ services. The successful candidate will be able to utilize the information available to deliver safe and efficient drug services and to follow the standards and protocol to ensure yours and patients’ safety. The Pharmacy Assistant/Receptionist is responsible for ensuring that each prescription is filled in a timely manner and meets the health safety of patients and also maintaining a great customer’s rapport. Your attention to detail and strong organizational skills will contribute to the efficient operation of our pharmacy.

Responsibilities

Assist pharmacists in dispensing medications accurately and efficiently
Prepare prescription orders by counting, pouring, and labeling medications
Maintain proper storage and security conditions for all medications
Manage inventory levels and order supplies as needed
Perform clerical duties including completing all records, documentation and patient or third party billings/charges, preparing receipts, invoices, letters, memos, and general filing
Provide exceptional customer service to patients, answering questions and addressing concerns
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care
Adhere to all pharmacy laws, regulations, and company policies

Demonstrates the skills and ability in:

Excellent communication skills and computer knowledge
Excellent customer service skills
Attention to details
Handling multiple demands made simultaneously under short time constraints
Flexibility and adaptability to meet the requirements of our evolving business
Team building and engagement
Review and control costs
Attend required and voluntary continuing education workshops as needed
Identify and report sales opportunities both internally and externally
Provide friendly, positive and pro-active interaction with all internal and external customers whenever necessary
Provide timely and positive resolution to patient’s needs and doctor’s requests/issues under the supervision of the pharmacist’s on duty
Ensure pharmacy complies with all legal requirements (Federal & Provincial) and Company’s policies and procedures
Ensure all ethical and pharmaceutical care models are practiced

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED certificate
Superior interpersonal skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Computer proficiency
Strong time management and organization skills
Speak Cantonese/Mandarin
Experience in retail pharmacy is an asset
