Full job description

+ Job Title and Overview

The Afternoon Shift Supervisor is responsible for overseeing warehouse operations during the afternoon shift, ensuring employees work safely, efficiently, and accurately to meet productivity and quality standards. This role involves supervising a team of order pickers and packers, providing leadership and support, and ensuring daily operational goals are achieved.

The ideal candidate is a strong leader with warehouse experience, excellent communication skills, and a proven ability to motivate and manage teams in a fast-paced environment.

+ Essential Job Functions

Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of warehouse staff during the afternoon shift
Lead, coach, and support employees to meet productivity, quality, and safety expectations
Monitor workflow and allocate resources to ensure operational efficiency
Conduct employee training and provide ongoing performance feedback
Ensure all orders are picked, packed, and prepared for shipment accurately and on time
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Enforce company policies, procedures, and health and safety standards
Assist with inventory control, cycle counts, and reporting discrepancies
Address employee concerns and escalate issues when necessary
Complete shift reports and communicate operational updates to management
Assist with receiving, stocking, and organizing inventory as required

+ Education and Experience

Minimum 2 years of supervisory or management experience required
Previous warehouse, distribution, fulfillment, or logistics experience preferred
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Experience leading teams in a fast-paced environment is considered an asset

Full-time position: Monday to Thursday, 4:00 PM – 2:00 AM
Occasional overtime may be required based on operational needs

Requires standing, walking, lifting, and repetitive motions for extended periods

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour
