Ontario region pay information

The salary range for this position in Ontario is $100,000 to $130,000. The determination of an applicant’s base salary within this range is based on the individual’s location, skills and competencies, and unique qualifications.

Your role, your impact

As a control systems engineer, you’ll work as part of a technical project team on technically challenging and interesting projects, mostly within the nuclear industry, to deliver technical documentation, hardware, and software to clients.

Your day-to-day

Produce requirements and design documents related to the project scope;
Create testing documents as needed;
Write code for PLCs, HMIs, and SCADAs (e.g., Schneider-Electric, Siemens);
Run rounds of testing as required pertaining to the project scope.

Keys to your success

Bachelor’s degree (or similar post-secondary education) in computer science or engineering, with demonstrated academic excellence;
Minimum of 4 years of experience developing and testing control systems;
Experience creating engineering documentation;
In-depth knowledge of PLCs and SCADA programming and configuration, including familiarity with several IEC61131 languages;
Confidence in client-facing situations;
Results-driven and flexible, with a strong sense of ownership of tasks.

Extra edge

Professional Engineer licence in Ontario (or pursuing);
Experience in the nuclear industry;
Commissioning and installation experience;
Ability to design instrumentation and control systems, and familiarity using electrical drafting tools.
