CPA Accountant – Property Management

Location: East York
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: Starting from $75,000 per year (depending on experience)

We are a property management company overseeing multiple properties for several companies/entities. We are seeking a CPA-designated Accountant with experience in property management and real estate accounting to manage accounting and financial reporting across our portfolios.

Responsibilities:

Full-cycle accounting for multiple companies and properties
Year-end closing for multiple entities and preparation of annual financial statements
Monthly financial statements, general ledger, bank reconciliations, and journal entries
Accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and intercompany transactions
Rent roll and trust account reconciliations
Budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
HST/GST filings and regulatory reporting
Coordinate with external auditors for year-end audits

Requirements:

CPA designation required
Minimum 15-20 years of experience in property management and real estate accounting
Proven experience with multi-entity accounting and year-end closing
Proficiency in accounting and property management software
Strong Excel skills
Experience with Yardi Breeze is a must
Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
