Golden Equity Properties has been specializing in the acquisition and management of multi-unit residential properties in the Quebec and Ontario markets since 2001.
We are looking for a skilled and experienced Leasing Agent to join our growing team and to handle multiple locations in Scarborough.
What You Will Do
· Meeting with prospective tenants and accompanying them on viewings of vacant apartment units.
· Preparing rental applications and all documentation necessary for the Landlord’s office to approve the applications.
· Draft the tenancy agreements; and conducting relevant background and reference checks
· Assisting the Regional Manager in all Landlord and Tenant Board matters, such as the filing of proceedings and attendance at hearings.
· Providing rental collection support and general administrative support to the Regional Manager, as needed; and
· Any other tasks that may reasonably be required from time to time, and that are consistent with your role as Leasing and Administrative Assistant.
· Stay knowledgeable of the property market status
· Negotiate leasing terms and conditions and close deals
· Ensure proper maintenance and inspect properties periodically
· Qualifying prospective residents to determine their needs & suitability as renters
· Maintains current awareness of industry practices and trends
· Other duties as assigned
What You Will Bring to The Role
· 3-5 years related experience
· Excellent communication and negotiation skills
· Working knowledge of real estate law and leasing practices
· Up to date with property market status
· MS Office familiarity
· Customer service orientation
· Must have a vehicle
