Position Purpose
Reporting to the Manager of Recreation and Culture, the Partnership and Sponsorship Supervisor leads the development and delivery of the Town¿s corporate sponsorship and partnership program in support of municipal programs, facilities, and events. The role is responsible for identifying and implementing strategic sponsorship opportunities, building corporate relationships, and generating revenue, while providing oversight of marketing and promotional initiatives. Minimum Qualifications and requirements
- Two (2) year Post-secondary diploma or degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, Recreation, Event Management, Public Administration, or a related discipline or equivalent, acceptable, and relevant combination of education and experience
- Minimum three (3) years of progressive experience in sponsorship development, partnership management, marketing, or related fields.
- Valid Class ¿G¿ Driver¿s Licence and access to a reliable vehicle for corporate business.
- Standard First Aid, CPR C, Automated External Defibrillator (AED), and AODA certification are considered assets.
- Demonstrated knowledge of sponsorship, partnership development, marketing, and/or business development principles.
- Strong relationship-building, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience collaborating across departments and working with external stakeholders including businesses, community organizations, and agencies.

JOB DESCRIPTION
Reporting to the Manager of Recreation and Culture, the Partnership and Sponsorship Supervisor leads the development and delivery of the Town¿s corporate sponsorship and partnership program in support of municipal programs, facilities, and events. The role is responsible for identifying and implementing strategic sponsorship opportunities, building corporate relationships, and generating revenue, while providing oversight of marketing and promotional initiatives.
Sponsorship, Partnerships and Revenue Development
- Leads the development and implementation of the Town¿s sponsorship and partnership program aligned with departmental and corporate priorities.
- Identifies, evaluates, and secures sponsorship opportunities across municipal programs, facilities, events, and initiatives.
- Develops and maintains an inventory of sponsorship assets, including naming rights, advertising opportunities, events, and program initiatives.
- Prepares proposals, presentations, and agreements; negotiates terms, benefits, and recognition opportunities.
- Builds and maintains relationships with corporate sponsors, businesses, and community organizations.
- Ensures fulfillment and activation of sponsorship agreements, including tracking deliverables and recognition commitments.
- Coordinates sponsor stewardship and retention initiatives.
Marketing, Engagement and Collaboration
- Provides oversight and direction to marketing and promotional activities, including supervision of the Marketing and Promotions Coordinator.
- Oversees the development and implementation of marketing campaigns and ensures alignment with corporate communications and branding standards.
- Collaborates with internal departments to identify partnership opportunities and support community engagement initiatives.
- Represents the department at meetings, events, and networking opportunities.
- Supports initiatives that enhance participation, awareness, and service delivery.
Link Facility Tenants and Lease Administration
- Coordinates and administers lease agreements and tenant relationships for the Link facility, including renewals, amendments, and compliance with terms and conditions.
- Acts as a primary operational contact for Link tenants, addressing inquiries and resolving routine issues, escalating as required.
- Maintains accurate records of lease agreements, tenant documentation, and associated financial tracking.
- Collaborates with Legislative Services, Finance, and other internal departments to ensure agreements align with municipal policies and procedures.
- Supports revenue tracking and reporting related to lease agreements and tenancy arrangements.
Financial and Administrative Accountability
- Tracks sponsorship and advertising-related revenues against approved budgets and flags variances for management review.
- Coordinates invoicing, documentation, reporting, and record-keeping in compliance with municipal financial and procurement requirements.
- Maintains accurate records related to sponsorships, advertising, naming rights, partnerships, leases, and recognition initiatives.
- Coordinates lease-related documentation associated with sponsorship, advertising, and partnership agreements.
- Monitors marketing and promotions budgets and expenditures in coordination with departmental leadership.
- Tracks revenues associated with sponsorships, advertising, and facility leases, identifying variances and reporting to management.
Corporate Leadership, Supervision & Service Excellence
- Provides coaching, supervision, and performance support to assigned staff in accordance with Town human resources policies and collective agreements.
- Supports staff training, development, and adherence to service standards.
- Collaborates with internal departments to coordinate sponsorship, advertising, naming rights, and recognition activities.
- Responds to routine public and stakeholder inquiries related to assigned areas of responsibility.
- Ensures compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and departmental safety procedures within the scope of assigned operations.

Education and Training:

- Familiarity with municipal recreation and culture services, programming, and facilities is considered an asset.
- One (1) year on the job for adjustment, orientation, and adaptation.
Experience:
- Minimum three (3) years of progressive experience in sponsorship development, partnership management, marketing, or related fields.
- Experience developing and implementing sponsorship or revenue-generating programs, including securing and managing external partnerships.
- Demonstrated experience preparing agreements, proposals, reports, and presentations for internal stakeholders, senior leadership, or Council.
- Supervisory experience, preferably within a municipal or unionized environment.
- Experience collaborating across departments and working with external stakeholders including businesses, community organizations, and agencies.
Skills and Competencies:
- Strong relationship-building, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to identify opportunities, develop partnerships, and support revenue generation.
