As our Nurse Injector, you will play an integral role in delivering the exceptional experience Vita Med Spa is known for. You will provide comprehensive patient consultations, perform facial assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and deliver cosmetic injectable treatments, including neuromodulators (e.g., Botox®) and dermal fillers, with precision, safety, and an artistic eye for natural-looking results. Practising in accordance with the standards of the College of Nurses of Ontario(CNO), you will perform treatments under the appropriate authorization for your designation and contribute to maintaining the highest standards of clinical excellence and patient care.
We are seeking a skilled, compassionate, and client-focused Registered Nurse (RN), Registered Practical Nurse (RPN), or Nurse Practitioner (NP) with specialized training in cosmetic injectables who is passionate about facial aesthetics, patient education, and achieving exceptional outcomes. The ideal candidate combines strong clinical judgment with outstanding communication and relationship-building skills, creating personalized treatment plans that help clients achieve their aesthetic goals while fostering long-term trust and confidence.
The Role
As a Nurse Injector, you will perform cosmetic injectable treatments, including neuromodulators (e.g., Botox®) and dermal fillers, while providing safe, evidence-informed care and outstanding patient experiences. You will assess patients, develop customized treatment plans, educate clients on available treatment options, and deliver natural-looking results aligned with each individual's aesthetic goals.
You will practise in accordance with the standards of the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO) and within your legislated scope of practice.
Regulatory Requirements (Ontario)
The administration of cosmetic injectables is a controlled act in Ontario.
- Registered Nurses (RNs) and Registered Practical Nurses (RPNs) perform injectable treatments under a medical directive, order, or delegation from an authorized prescriber (Physician or Nurse Practitioner).
- Nurse Practitioners (NPs) may prescribe and administer cosmetic injectables within their legislated scope of practice.
Vita Med Spa provides medical oversight, including medical directives and physician support, to ensure all treatments are performed safely, ethically, and in compliance with provincial regulations and professional standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient consultations, facial assessments, and medical history reviews.
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on each patient's anatomy, goals, and suitability for treatment.
- Safely administer cosmetic injectables, including neuromodulators and dermal fillers, while maintaining the highest clinical and aesthetic standards.
- Obtain and document informed consent, ensuring patients understand the risks, benefits, alternatives, expected outcomes, and aftercare requirements.
- Maintain complete and accurate patient records, including treatment details, products used, dosage/units, lot numbers, consent documentation, and follow-up notes.
- Recognize, manage, document, and appropriately escalate adverse events ortreatment complications.
- Provide comprehensive pre- and post-treatment education and follow-up care to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Recommend ongoing treatment plans, maintenance schedules, skincare products, and complementary aesthetic services that support patients' long-term goals.
- Collaborate closely with the Medical Directorand clinical team to ensure safe, high-quality patient care.
- Adhere to all CNO standards, infection prevention and control practices, clinic policies, and the terms of applicable medical directives.
- Maintain aseptic technique and a clean, organized, and professional treatment environment.
- Capture and securely organize before-and-after photographs with patient consent.
- Participate in continuing education to remain current on injectable products, techniques, safety standards, and industry best practices.
- Contribute to a positive, collaborative team culture while delivering an exceptional patient experience from consultation through follow-up.
Qualifications
- Current registration in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario as an RN, RPN, or NP.
- Completion of recognized training in cosmetic injectables, including neuromodulators and dermal fillers.
- For RNs and RPNs: willingness and ability to practise under a medical directive, physician order, or delegation from an authorized prescriber.
- For NPs: authority to prescribe and administer cosmetic injectables within your legislated scope of practice.
- Current professional liability protection (malpractice insurance).
- Strong understanding of facial anatomy, patient assessment, and aesthetic treatment planning.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and consultation skills with a patient-centred approach.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety, confidentiality, and ethical practice.
- Professional, polished, compassionate, and committed to delivering exceptional patient care.
- New graduate injectors are encouraged to apply; previous cosmetic injecting experience is considered an asset.
Considered an Asset
- One or more years of cosmetic injecting experience.
- Experience with advanced aesthetic treatments such as PRP, Sculptra®, biostimulators, or other regenerative aesthetic procedures.
- Existing patient following or established clientele.
- Experience with social media content creationand personal brand development.
- Familiarity with Jane App or other electronic medical record (EMR) and scheduling software.
- Experience working within a medical spa or cosmetic practice.
