Job Overview
We are seeking reliable and experienced Residential Side Loader/DZ Driver to join our team. This role involves operating specialized waste collection vehicles to service residential neighborhoods efficiently and safely. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, excellent driving skills, and the ability to perform heavy lifting as needed. This position offers an opportunity to be part of a dedicated team committed to providing exceptional waste management services in the community.

Duties

Safely operate residential side loader trucks and DZ vehicles in accordance with all safety regulations and company policies
Collect and transport waste and recyclables from designated residential areas
Perform heavy lifting of trash bins and containers, ensuring proper handling to prevent injury or damage
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety and operational readiness
Maintain accurate records of collections, route completion, and any issues encountered during shifts
Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding route progress or any safety concerns
Adhere to scheduled routes and timeframes to ensure timely service delivery

Experience

Valid DZ driver’s license with a clean driving record
Previous experience operating side loader or similar waste collection vehicles is MUST
Demonstrated ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
Strong driving skills with a focus on safety and adherence to traffic laws
Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and lift heavy objects repeatedly throughout the shift

This role is vital for maintaining efficient waste collection services within residential communities. Candidates should be dependable, safety-conscious, and capable of handling physically demanding tasks while maintaining professionalism on the job.

Pay: $29.00 per hour

Ability to commute/relocate:

Aurora, ON L4G 5V8: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
