Cabinet Design & Project Coordinator
CKG Design & Build is seeking an experienced Cabinet Design & Project Coordinator to join our growing team.
We are looking for someone who is passionate about custom cabinetry, thoughtful design, and providing an exceptional client experience from the initial consultation through installation.
This position combines cabinetry design, project coordination, client communication, and site support. The successful candidate will work closely with clients, management, suppliers, contractors, production teams, and installers to ensure projects are completed smoothly, on schedule, and to a high standard.
Responsibilities
- Meet with clients to understand their needs, design preferences, space requirements, and budget.
- Design custom kitchens, bathrooms, cabinetry, closets, and other millwork solutions that are both functional and visually appealing.
- Create detailed drawings, layouts, 3D renderings, and client presentations using SketchUp, 2020 Design, AutoCAD, or similar software.
- Conduct site visits to take accurate measurements and verify existing site conditions.
- Prepare accurate dimensions, specifications, and details for cabinetry and millwork production.
- Assist clients with the selection of materials, finishes, colours, hardware, and other design details.
- Present design concepts and revisions to clients throughout the design process.
- Coordinate project details with management, suppliers, production teams, installers, contractors, and other trades.
- Monitor project timelines and help ensure projects remain on schedule and within budget.
- Provide site and installation support when required.
- Identify and resolve design, production, site, or installation issues in collaboration with the project team.
- Maintain clear and professional communication with clients throughout the entire project.
- Provide excellent customer service and build strong, long-term client relationships.
- Stay current with cabinetry products, materials, hardware, design trends, and industry best practices.
Qualifications
- Minimum 7 years of experience in cabinetry design, millwork design, kitchen design, or a related field.
- Proficiency with SketchUp, AutoCAD, 2020 Design, or similar design software.
- Experience producing detailed cabinetry drawings, layouts, and visual presentations.
- Strong understanding of cabinetry construction, materials, finishes, hardware, and installation methods.
- Ability to accurately measure existing spaces and translate site conditions into workable designs.
- Excellent communication, customer service, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Experience in residential construction or renovation is considered an asset.
- Experience creating professional 3D renderings or virtual walkthroughs is considered an asset.
- Valid Ontario Class G driver's licence required.

Position Details
Position: Contract, with opportunity to become permanent
Pay: $32.00–$40.00 per hour, depending on experience

Licence: Ontario Class G Driver's Licence – required
