Commercial Real Estate Legal Assistant

If you're a seasoned Commercial Real Estate Legal Assistant who thrives in a dynamic, high-volume environment, this could be the opportunity you've been waiting for! Join a highly respected firm where you'll play a key role supporting a busy commercial real estate team, working closely with a Senior Law Clerk and two seasoned lawyers. This is a position for someone who enjoys being at the centre of the action, managing competing priorities, and contributing to complex, sophisticated transactions. Salary: Up to $75K (Based on Experience)

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and revise agreements of purchase and sale, leases, financing and closing documents;
Manage transaction files from opening to closing, including due diligence and document organization;
Coordinate title and off-title searches and review search results;
Prepare closing documentation and assist with transaction closings;
Liaise with clients, lenders, and third parties;
Manage calendars, deadlines, and correspondence; and
Perform general administrative duties, including scanning and electronic filing.

Qualifications

Legal Assistant or Law Clerk diploma/certificate from a recognized post-secondary institution
3–5 years of experience in Commercial Real Estate
Strong understanding of legal procedures, documentation, and file management within the applicable practice area
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams
Experience with PDF software, DocuSign, and document management systems such as iManage
Commercial Real Estate experience with Teraview and Workshare Compare
Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a commitment to exceptional client service
High level of accuracy and attention to detail
Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment
Sound judgment, discretion, and a proactive, solutions-oriented approach
