Engineering Link is growing its team.
We are looking for a Senior Pavement Specialist to join our Building Envelope Department.
The ideal candidate has experience leading pavement and asphalt projects from cradle-to-grave. Cornerstone to success in this role is assessing client needs and making decisions on proposed solutions.
You will lead site investigations and pavement condition surveys on flexible, rigid, surface treated and gravel pavements. As well as pavement/geotechnical investigations including borehole and core logging, sampling of asphalt, concrete, and subgrade soils. The end goal of these activities is to prepare technical designs, specifications, reports and technical documentation for the client.
We are looking for someone who can advance projects through the concept and detailed design phase while managing client expectations and helping to grow the business through developing new client relationships.

Responsibilities
-Develop and carry out site investigations in a variety of asphalt/pavement projects.
-Conduct pavement data analysis and design for new construction, reconstruction, rehabilitation, widening, and resurfacing projects.
-Conduct geotechnical engineering assessments and analysis for a range of project types including shallow foundations for buildings, retaining walls, culverts, and storm sewers.
-Create reports advising clients on general conditions, recommended repairs and estimated construction costs.
-Design repairs for asphalt and pavement systems working in collaboration with the CAD department.
-During construction, responsible for monitoring quality of construction, budget and timelines.
-Draft site review reports summarizing progress and advising on deficiencies. Act as the key contact for the contractor and work to resolve deficiencies.
-Contract administration tasks include preparation of Certificates of Payment, Contemplated Change Orders, Change Orders, Supplemental Instructions, Substantial Performance Certificates, etc.
-Nurture client relationships leading to new business development opportunities.
Qualifications
-Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
-Licensed as a Professional Engineer in Ontario (P.Eng.).
-Minimum 7 years of experience in asphalt/pavement design within a professional services environment.
-Consulting experience is preferred.
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
-Has a valid G driver’s licence.

Pay: $120,000.00-$130,000.00 per year
