JOB DESCRIPTION – FULL TIME Accounting Assistant/Bookkeeper (Matt Leave Full time Contract role)

Ron recently created a limited-edition shoe collection for The Devil Wears Prada Musical, worn by Vanessa Williams in her role as the lead character, Miranda Priestly. A longtime Ron White muse and dear friend, Vanessa specifically requested his designs, knowing they would keep her comfortable and stylish on stage. Ron White was named Independent Retailer of the Year by Footwear News in 2011 and was inducted into the Sheridan College of Business Hall of Fame in 2007.

THE OPPORTUNITY
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES & REMUNERATION – Bookkeeper/Accounting Assistant Full time 12 Month Contract role
Annual Salary,: $60,000 CAD
As the Head office Accounting Assistant/Bookkeeper, you manage the company's day-to-day financial data. Responsibilities include recording transactions, processing payroll, managing accounts payable/receivable, and reconciling bank statements.
You are also responsible for the overall day-to-day performance of the business, including daily reporting, inventory management, data entry, and ensuring all payments are up to date with our vendors and factories, you must have sound judgment and business insight, you identify opportunities, solve problems, and keep organised books and records at a high level while ensuring company policies and procedures are consistently maintained.
You will be reporting to the Financial Controller and work in office 5 days a week.
QUALIFICATIONS
· Post-secondary diploma or degree preferred.
· Excellent verbal and written Communication skills in English are required to effectively collaborate with a Global Team.
· Minimum of 3 years of working knowledge of programs like QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage.
· Ability to maintain secure, up-to-date filing systems for all receipts, bills, and ledgers.
· Ability to multitask, adapt quickly, and perform effectively in a fast-paced environment.
· Passion for fashion and footwear is an asset.
· Calculate wages, withhold applicable taxes, and process payroll in Quick books.
· Manage invoices, process vendor payments, and track outstanding customer debts.
· Reconcile Vendors Statements with QB AP balances
· Review Bank balances and Deposits complete monthly bank reconciliation
· Strong verbal and written communication skills.
· Excellent time management, organizational, and project management skills.
· WSIB reporting, File payroll taxes, sales tax (e.g., GST/HST), workers' compensation, and pension contributions to meet statutory deadlines
· Proficiency in and experience with Shopify reporting, MS Word, MS Excel, and email, including MS Outlook.
· Ability to work a flexible schedule based on business needs
