About the Role

RS Construction Group is a growing Ontario civil construction and environmental contracting company operating across municipal infrastructure, site servicing, and earthworks projects. We are looking for a skilled and reliable Pipe Layer with 3 to 7 years of experience to join our field team on a full-time permanent basis. The successful candidate will be a hands-on tradesperson comfortable working on a variety of civil construction sites across Ontario.

Key Responsibilities

Install storm, sanitary, and watermain pipe systems in accordance with drawings and specifications

Operate and assist with trench excavation and shoring setup in compliance with OHSA regulations

Lay and join various pipe materials including concrete, PVC, HDPE, and corrugated steel pipe

Set grades using laser or string line to ensure correct pipe slope and alignment

Install catch basins, manholes, and associated appurtenances

Perform pipe bedding and backfill operations to specification

Work alongside equipment operators, laborers, and site superintendents to maintain production targets

Follow safe work practices and participate in daily tailgate meetings

Assist with site cleanup, material staging, and general civil construction duties as required

Qualifications and Experience

3 to 7 years of hands-on experience in underground pipe laying on civil or municipal construction projects

Demonstrated ability to read and interpret civil construction drawings and grade sheets

Experience working with storm, sanitary, and watermain systems

Familiarity with OPSD standards, municipal specifications, and Ontario construction regulations

Working at Heights and WHMIS certifications required

CSO or Trenching and Excavation certification is an asset

Valid Ontario G driver's license required; DZ license is an asset

Ability to work outdoors in varied weather and terrain conditions

Strong work ethic, punctuality, and a team-first attitude
