Full job description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in Toronto, Ontario. In this role, you will play a key part in managing financial tasks, ensuring accurate record-keeping, and supporting the smooth operation of accounting processes. Responsibilities:

Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions with accuracy and efficiency.
Conduct regular account reconciliations to ensure financial records are complete and error-free.
Prepare and issue invoices to clients while maintaining organized billing records.
Assist with data entry tasks to support the maintenance of accurate financial databases.
Utilize accounting software, such as QuickBooks, to manage financial activities.
Generate and analyze financial reports to provide insights for decision-making.
Collaborate with team members to resolve discrepancies and improve accounting workflows.
Maintain compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
Support administrative tasks related to the accounting department as needed.
Proven experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, and account reconciliation.
Proficiency in using Microsoft Excel and QuickBooks for accounting tasks.
Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in financial records.
Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Effective communication skills to liaise with clients and team members.
Knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Post-secondary education in accounting, finance, or a related field is an asset.
