The Opportunity
This is a senior executive role for a construction leader who wants to build and scale a division, not just manage projects. You will have full autonomy, full executive support, and the resources to take MTLI Construction from its current scale to $250M+ in annual revenue in under five years.
Your Mission
Build MTLI Construction into a $250M division in under 5 years.
This includes:
Bring and develop 20M to 50M in annual project pipeline
Build long-term relationships with developers, GCs, PM firms, and national operations groups
Expand design-build, industrial, commercial, and warehouse construction capabilities
Lead strategic bids, tenders, and RFP responses
Build a quoting engine capable of submitting 800M to 2B in annual bids
Recruit, develop, and lead a high-performance team including estimators, project managers, site supervisors, coordinators, safety, and procurement
Implement project controls, safety programs, QA and QC standards, and division-level operating procedures
Create systems and processes that scale efficiently across multiple sites
Build a culture of performance, accountability, and operational excellence
Full responsibility for division revenue, profitability, forecasting, and job costing
Maintain consistent profitability
Build division budgets, hiring plans, and target forecasts
Ensure disciplined, profitable, and scalable growth
Oversee execution of industrial, warehouse, structural, commercial TI, and design-build projects ranging from 1M to 20M+
Manage multiple projects simultaneously with strong schedule, budget, and quality control
Ensure exceptional safety performance and client satisfaction
Ideal Candidate Profile
Mandatory Experience
15 to 25 years in construction with at least 7 years in senior leadership
Managed 20M to 50M+ in annual construction volume
Track record of scaling a business unit or leading a division
Significant experience in industrial, commercial, warehouse, and design-build construction
Experience with a well-established general contractor
Strong network of developers, PM firms, national clients, and industry partners
Ability to attract top estimators, PMs, and site leaders
Knowledge of estimating, procurement, scheduling, financials, and team management
Preferred Experience
Mezzanines, structural steel, warehouse retrofits, heavy renovations
Multi-site construction rollouts
US project experience
Gold Seal, PMP, or equivalent certifications
