Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our dynamic kitchen team primarily on weekends. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. This role involves preparing ingredients, cooking meals, and ensuring that the kitchen operates efficiently during service hours. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy working as part of a team, we want to hear from you! Hours of operations for the business are 7am to 3pm.

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and standards set by the head chef.
Assist in the preparation of ingredients for meal preparation, including washing, chopping, and marinating.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace, ensuring all food safety protocols are followed.
Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
Help train new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety practices.
Adhere to all health and safety regulations in the kitchen environment.

Skills

Strong knowledge of kitchen operations and food preparation techniques.
Familiarity with food safety standards and regulations within the food industry.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
Excellent time management skills to ensure timely meal preparation and service.
Strong communication skills for effective teamwork within the kitchen staff.
Experience with various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
A passion for cooking and creating delicious meals that delight customers.
