Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a professional and organized Dental Receptionist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will serve as the first point of contact for patients, managing front desk operations with efficiency and a friendly demeanor. This role requires excellent communication skills, familiarity with cleardent, and the ability to handle administrative tasks in a fast-paced environment. Prior experience in dental or medical office settings is highly preferred, along with proficiency in electronic medical records and multi-line phone systems. The Dental Receptionist plays a vital role in ensuring a smooth patient experience and maintaining the overall efficiency of the office.

Responsibilities

Greet patients warmly and professionally upon arrival
Schedule, confirm, and reschedule appointments using Cleardent or similar dental practice management software
Manage multi-line phone systems to handle inquiries, appointment bookings, and patient concerns
Verify patient insurance information and update electronic medical records accurately
Collect payments, co-pays, and process billing transactions efficiently
Maintain organized patient records and ensure confidentiality of sensitive information
Assist with administrative duties
Coordinate with dental staff to facilitate smooth daily operations
Ensure the reception area remains clean, welcoming, and well-organized

Experience

Prior experience as a Dental Receptionist in a office setting is preferred
Familiarity with dental practice management software cleardent
Knowledge of medical terminology related to dentistry is a plus
Experience handling electronic records and billing procedures
Strong office experience including front desk duties, administrative support, and multi-line phone systems management
Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and professionalism in communication
