Eli & Sons Plumbing and Heating is a family-run plumbing company serving the Comox Valley and surrounding areas. We provide premium plumbing, heating, drain cleaning, and emergency services for residential, commercial, and industrial clients.
We are looking for a motivated 3rd Year Apprentice Plumber who takes pride in quality workmanship, enjoys learning from experienced tradespeople, and wants to build a long-term career with a growing company. This is an excellent opportunity to gain valuable hands-on experience while working on a variety of residential, commercial, and industrial projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the installation, repair, and maintenance of plumbing systems, including pipes, fixtures, water heaters, drainage systems, and related equipment
- Perform drain cleaning, drain inspections, and blockage removal.
- Demonstrate an understanding of residential rough-in plumbing, including system layout, pipe installation, blueprint reading, and applicable plumbing codes
- Comfortable working independently on residential rough-in projects under the guidance of a Journeyperson
- Safely operate hand tools, power tools, and plumbing equipment
- Troubleshoot plumbing issues and assist in diagnosing system problems
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized worksite
- Work collaboratively with Journeyperson Plumbers and other trades
- Follow all company safety policies, local codes, and industry best practices
- Track work progress and apprenticeship hours as required
- Provide professional and courteous customer service on job sites
Requirements
- Registered 3rd Year Plumbing Apprentice in British Columbia
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Experience in residential plumbing; commercial and industrial experience is an asset
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and instructions
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Commitment to safety, quality workmanship, and customer satisfaction
- Willingness to travel for away jobs when required
- Ability to problem solve
