Full job description

Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled Mechanic & Welder to join our team. This role involves diagnosing and repairing vehicles and equipment, along with performing welding and fabrication work as needed. The ideal candidate is hands-on, reliable, and able to handle both mechanical and structural tasks efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

Mechanical Duties

Diagnose and repair trucks, trailers, and heavy equipment
Perform routine maintenance (oil changes, brakes, suspension, etc.)
Inspect vehicles to ensure safety and operational standards
Troubleshoot mechanical and hydraulic issues
Maintain service records and report issues

Welding & Fabrication

Perform MIG, TIG, and stick welding

Fabricate, modify, and repair metal structures and equipment
Repair frames, trailers, and damaged components
Cut, shape, and assemble metal parts
Ensure all welding meets safety and quality standards

Requirements

Proven experience as a mechanic and/or welder
Strong knowledge of diesel engines, trailers, and heavy equipment
Welding certification (preferred but not mandatory)
Ability to read technical drawings and schematics
Strong problem-solving skills
Physically fit and able to lift heavy equipment
Valid driver’s license (Class 1 is an assets
