We are currently looking for a Flexible PCB Assembler(Hand Solderer, morning shift, 3 month contract with the possibility of being extended or being transferred to permanent status based on performance) to join our team for our Toronto manufacturing plant (the closest main intersection is Victoria Park and Eglinton).
JOB SUMMARY
To assemble various electronic products through manual insertion of components and hand soldering.
RESPONSIBILITIES but not limited to:
1. Swages pins into fixtures in preparation for hand soldering.
2. Solder touch up as required.
3. Ensures stiffeners are properly aligned on flex in accordance with traveler instructions.
4. Performs coating and adhesive operations as per MIL-P-50884 and IPC-A-610 and the traveler instructions.
5. Performs manual and jig assisted forming operations.
6. Tests final product against traveler.
7. Hand stamps idents and serial numbers.
8. Ensures all joints are locked to tightness as specified in traveler.
9. Cleans product with alcohol as required.
10. Packages product using dessicants, anti static materials and shock absorbing foam as indicated on the traveler.
11. Follows all health and safety policies and procedures.
12. Wears personal protective equipment as prescribed.
13. Follows all Company policies and procedures.
14. Attends meetings as required and actively participates.
15. Carries out housekeeping duties in order to maintain a clean work area and department clean.
16. Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION
Ø High school diploma
EXPERIENCE
Ø Minimum of three (3) years manual solder assembly of electronics
Ø Familiar with MIL-P-50884 and IPC-A-610
Ø Inspection experience an asset
WORKING CONDITIONS
