We're seeking qualified and dynamic individuals to join our team in the crucial role of Financial Services Clerk. In this position, you'll play a vital role in supporting the Superior Court of Justice, Finance Office operations by providing a wide range of financial accounting services.

You will:
- Provide accounting, financial, banking and statistical information and support as well as client services in an automated environment
- Enforce and manage the resolution of issues and problems arising from writs, executions, garnishments, and seizures
- Provide input to the development of policy, standards, guidelines and procedures
- Coordinate and attend to the effective and efficient resolution of queries, issues, concerns and requests for information from members of the general public, court offices, legal, judicial and banking professions
- Review client files for completeness and accuracy
- Explain accounting procedures related to accounts receivables, and procedures regarding distribution of funds
- Prepare letters and memoranda on account payments, billings and work-related financial information (e.g. trust payments)
- You have knowledge of accounting principles, practices, procedures, protocols
- You have knowledge of the accounting practices relative to garnishments and other enforcement processes
- You can investigate accounting discrepancies and problems and answer enquiries
- You have knowledge of civil enforcement processes and accounting procedures and mechanisms such as Garnishments, seizure and sale of lands, goods, chattels, execution of Writs
- You have knowledge of practices and procedures governing trust and revenue accounting to protect the integrity of financial accounting operations
- You can perform calculations, balance large amounts of revenue, maintain accounts accurately and compile statistical reports
- You have the ability to interpret and apply knowledge and understanding of relevant statutes and regulations (e.g. the Rules of Civil Procedure, Execution Act, Bankruptcy Act, Land Titles Act and Creditors Relief Act)
- You have the ability to apply knowledge of related legal terminology and enforcement related business practices (e.g. the rules governing the filing of writs, executions, garnishments and seizures)
- You can discuss and explain complex accounting scenarios, issues and matters with the public, judgement creditors, legal and banking professionals
- You can follow up on complaints and queries and provide explanations regarding accounts status
- You can set out clearly in writing statutory and accounting concepts
- You can investigate discrepancies and trace errors and omissions and take corrective actions
- You can perform concurrent activities under time pressures
- You have proficiency with word processing software as well as computerized case management and tracking systems (e.g. TMS, Q&A, Frank, UNIX Writ system)
- You can update data on a network computer system
