Job Summary
We are looking for a CDA/LDA, this is a full-time Tuesday to Saturday position. Some evenings included. Wage is based on experience level and leadership qualities.
We need someone that has a strong work ethic, and able to hep lead a team. This position would be Tues 10-6pm, Wed 12-7pm, Thurs 9-5, Fri 9-5pm and Saturday 8-4. We offer paid CE, First aid, Paid staff-meetings, uniform allowance and lots of snacks in the lunch rooms. We are a privately owned and operated general, 3 providers dental office. We have been a staple of Port Coquitlam since the 80's and have a large generational patient pool. We have lots of long terms staff as well as a few newer faces but we pride ourselves in a friendly family oriented practice. We believe in family, and offer a flexible vacations and time off to our staff. We are have a sterilization tech to help with room clean up and set up as well as general dispensary duties. This allows our CDA/LDA's to focus on patient care and comfort.
This position is not suitable for new grads or someone not comfortable leading a team. at least 3+ years in the same office would be ideal. Familiar with ortho, surgery, implants and prostho would be ideal. If this sounds like something you could do please send resume with email and number to:

Responsibilities
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments in compliance with safety standards
- Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, including orthodontic, implant and pediatric dentistry
- Manage patient records efficiently using dental practice management software: Open Dental
- Provide chairside assistance during procedures, including crown preparations, fillings, and orthodontic adjustments
- Educate patients on oral health care, post-treatment instructions, and preventive practices
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sterile clinical environment
- Ensure compliance with all health regulations and safety protocols
Qualifications
- Valid licensure as a Licensed Dental Assistant (LDA) or equivalent certification
- Proven experience with dental assisting procedures in a busy practice setting
- Familiarity with Itero, 3Shape, CBCT and CADI, Open Dental soft wear an asset
- Familiarity with Invisalign, Implants, Botox TMJ issues also an asset
- Knowledge of medical terminology related to dentistry and orthodontics
- Experience working with pediatric patients is preferred
- Strong understanding of sterilization techniques, infection control protocols, and safety standards
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients of all ages and team members
- Ability to adapt quickly to new technologies and procedures in a fast-paced environment
