Arcavia (Orillia) LTC LP, a 160-bed long-term care home, is an exciting new project that will be dedicated to enriching the lives of our residents in partnership with UniversalCare Canada Inc., our family members, valued employees and community partners. Residents will be admitted in the Fall of 2026.
Our team is currently hiring for a new vacancy, a permanent part-time Laundry Aide.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:
-Supports with the implementation/maintenance of quality risk management activities, conducts audits.
-Supports effective and efficient procurement and supply control procedures, completes all environmental services documentation.
-Provides linen and personal clothing support services by ensuring collection, distribution, processing and inventory of all linens and personal clothing.
- Loads and unloads washers and dryers, sorts linens and personal clothing onto carts for distribution and delivery.
-Assists in maintaining and cleaning laundry services equipment and reports equipment concerns.
-Audits linen and personal clothing for labels and repairs, as required.
-Supports the process for reports of lost personal clothing, maintains a loss and found system.
-Inspects linen, discards worn linen and documents.
-Assists with meal service ensuring the individual nutritional needs of all residents are met.
-Porters residents and assists with safe lifts and transfers of residents.
-Participates as a member for assigned committees, attends meetings and educations sessions.
-Communicates with related Long-term care Health Agencies to promote coordination and/or planning long-term care services.
-Ensures compliance with organizational standards, the collective agreement, as applicable and all relevant regulations, and/or legislative requirements and strategic initiatives.
-Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
-A secondary-school diploma or equivalent.
-Knowledge of laundry equipment, best practices and procedures.
-Ability to read, write, comprehend, and follow instructions in English.
-Excellent oral and written communication skills and strong relationship building abilities.
-Proficiency with computerized documentation systems.
-Satisfactory vulnerable sector check and TB test.
