Neuropsychologist (Hybrid)

Organization: J&K Mental Health / Resilience First Location: Hybrid — Kingston, ON (in-person testing days required; remote for all other work) Employment Type: Independent Contractor or Employee Reports To: Clinical Director

About Us

J&K Mental Health is a multidisciplinary practice of 40+ clinicians based in Kingston, Ontario. Our specialty division, Resilience First, provides trauma-informed care to first responders, military members, veterans, and their families. We are growing our assessment services and are seeking a Neuropsychologist to lead our neuropsychological evaluation stream.

Position Overview

We are looking for a licensed Neuropsychologist to join our team in a hybrid capacity. This role combines the flexibility of remote clinical work with in-person psychometric testing at our Kingston, ON location. You will oversee the full assessment process — from initial clinical interview through report finalization and diagnostic formulation — for a client population that includes first responders, military members, and the general public.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct initial neuropsychological assessment interviews with clients (remote or in-person)
Determine appropriate test battery based on presenting concerns and referral question
Travel to/attend our Kingston, ON office to administer psychometric testing in person
Interpret psychometric and neuropsychological test data
Write comprehensive neuropsychological assessment reports
Review and quality-check reports (own and/or those prepared with support from psychometrists or associates, if applicable)
Render diagnostic impressions and communicate findings clearly to clients and referral sources
Provide feedback sessions to clients and/or families regarding results and recommendations
Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team (psychotherapists, social workers, psychiatry where applicable) to ensure integrated care
Maintain compliance with regulatory, ethical, and documentation standards (CPBAO)
Stay current with best practices in neuropsychological assessment, particularly as relevant to trauma, PTSD, and occupational/operational stress injuries in first responder and military populations (an asset, not required)

Qualifications

PhD or PsyD in Clinical Psychology or Clinical Neuropsychology
Current registration/licensure as a Psychologist in Ontario, with authorized practice in the area of Neuropsychology (CPBAO)
Demonstrated experience conducting and interpreting neuropsychological assessments across the lifespan (or specify population, e.g., adult)
Strong report-writing skills with the ability to synthesize complex data into clear, actionable clinical reports
Comfortable working in a hybrid model — independent in remote work, reliable and punctual for in-person testing blocks in Kingston
Experience or strong interest in working with first responders, military members, veterans, and/or trauma-exposed populations is an asset
Excellent communication skills for delivering diagnostic feedback to clients and referral sources
Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary group practice
