Cornwall Community Hospital (CCH) is an acute care hospital located in Cornwall, Ontario along the scenic St. Lawrence River. CCH provides a full range of acute inpatient, outpatient and community mental health services to a catchment area of 100,000 people from the communities of Cornwall, the United Counties of Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry and to the Mohawk community of Akwesasne.

Summary of responsibilities

Reporting to the Manager of IT Applications and Client Services or other delegate, the PC Technician will Troubleshoot any Hardware, Software, Network problem the customer may have. Coordinate and plan Hardware and Software installations.

Requirements of the job

2-Year college diploma with A+ certification
Minimum 1-year experience as a P.C. Technician
Good knowledge of personal and networked equipment
Ability to troubleshoot hardware and software
Experience in customer support, good interpersonal and organizational skills and strong team oriented
Day shift Monday through Friday - Schedule subject to change
Required to be on-call for evenings and week-ends to provide support
Demonstrated commitment to patient safety
Demonstrated regular, punctual attendance
Functional proficiency in English (oral and written)

Assets:

Demonstrated experience in a healthcare sector and knowledge of CCH I.T. support and network infrastructure
Knowledge of intranet and internet development tools
Knowledge of Mitel phone networks.
