About Us
We are a well-established retirement home committed to providing high-quality care and a supportive, respectful environment for our residents. We are seeking an experienced and dependable professional to join our leadership team as a second-in-command, supporting the day-to-day operations of the home.

Position Overview
The Lead Health Care Aide serves as the primary support to the General Manager and plays a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of the residence. This position requires a hands-on leader who is highly organized, proactive, and capable of stepping in to oversee operations in the absence of the General Manager.

Key Responsibilities

Support the General Manager in overseeing daily operations of the retirement home
Act as the second-in-command and assume leadership responsibilities as required
Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations, policies, and procedures (e.g., RHRA, Public Health)
Support staff scheduling, performance, and day-to-day supervision
Assist with resident relations, including addressing concerns and maintaining high satisfaction
Support administrative functions including documentation, reporting, and internal communications
Monitor operational efficiency, including staffing, service delivery, and general workflow
Participate in audits, inspections, and continuous quality improvement initiatives
Assist with onboarding, training coordination, and ensuring staff compliance with required certifications
Other duties as assigned

Qualifications & Requirements

Experience in retirement home, long-term care, or healthcare operations
Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities

Mandatory Requirements:

Must be able to reliably commute to the residence location
Must be willing and able to complete all required training and onboarding, both initially and on an ongoing basis, as required

Aperçu du poste
Le préposé principal aux soins de santé agit comme principal soutien au directeur général et joue un rôle clé dans le bon fonctionnement de la résidence. Ce poste requiert un leader pratique et engagé, hautement organisé, proactif et capable de prendre en charge les opérations en l’absence du directeur général.

Principales responsabilités

Soutenir le directeur général dans la gestion des opérations quotidiennes de la résidence
Agir à titre de second(e) responsable et assumer des responsabilités de gestion au besoin
Assurer la conformité avec les lois, règlements, politiques et procédures applicables (p. ex. ORR, Santé publique)
Soutenir la gestion des horaires, la performance et la supervision quotidienne du personnel
Contribuer aux relations avec les résidents, notamment en répondant aux préoccupations et en maintenant un haut niveau de satisfaction
Appuyer les fonctions administratives, incluant la documentation, les rapports et les communications internes
Veiller à l’efficacité opérationnelle, incluant la dotation, la prestation des services et le déroulement des activités
Participer aux audits, inspections et initiatives d’amélioration continue de la qualité
Soutenir l’accueil et l’intégration des employés, la coordination des formations et le respect des certifications requises
Effectuer toute autre tâche connexe au besoin

Qualifications et exigences

Expérience en résidence pour aînés, en soins de longue durée ou en gestion des opérations en santé
Excellentes compétences en organisation, en résolution de problèmes et en communication
Capacité à gérer plusieurs priorités simultanément

Exigences obligatoires

Être en mesure de se déplacer de façon fiable jusqu’à la résidence
Être disposé(e) et en mesure de compléter toutes les formations et l’intégration requises, tant à l’embauche que de façon continue, selon les besoins

Pay: $23.00 per hour
