Wage Range: $18.00 to $24.00 dependent on site.

JOB SUMMARY
To be a Security Guard, responsible to the Commissionaire Site Supervisor/District Manager for the efficient and effective day-to-day operation of security tasks at the Designated site location.
REQUIRED SKILLS:

- Strong observational and problem-solving skills
- Ability to follow post orders, policies, and procedures accurately
- Basic computer and report-writing skills
- Professional appearance and demeanor at all times
- Ability to adapt to different site requirements and environments
- Ability to obtain and maintain required security clearance
REQUIRED SECURITY CLEARANCE:
Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance
(minimum Reliability Status; higher levels may be required for some sites)
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide access control, patrols, monitoring, and reporting as assigned per site
- Maintain a visible security presence to deter unauthorized activity
- Enforce site-specific rules, regulations, and procedures
- Respond appropriately to incidents, alarms, and emergencies
- Complete accurate and timely reports and log entries
- Interact professionally with clients, staff, and members of the public
- Report hazards, safety concerns, or suspicious activity promptly
- Work shifts at multiple locations as assigned by scheduling staff
- Perform additional duties as required by supervisors or management
REQUIREMENTS
To be eligible for consideration for this position, you must have the following qualifications:
- Valid Ontario Security Guard Licence
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Reliability Security Clearance (or higher, depending on site)
- Valid Emergency First Aid & CPR (Level C) with AED
- Clean Criminal Record / CPIC check
- Ability to stand or patrol for extended periods
- Clean vulnerable Sector Check and Clean Driver's Abstract may be required
- Ability to work flexible hours and travel between multiple site

All security work is 24/7 up to 40 hours per week and overtime is possible.
