Full job description

Nextreme is seeking a skilled Estimator/Project Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have knowledge in construction, metal fabrication and welding, including reading schematics and blueprints, and possess the ability to work on various projects ranging from construction estimating and project management.

The ideal candidate should have a positive attitude with a strong work ethic, get along well with others in a team environment, but also be comfortable working independently and leading projects.

Duties:
- Preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for metal fabrication projects.
- Managing project schedules, budgets, and resources from start to finish.
- Liaising with clients to understand their needs and ensure project specifications are met.
- Overseeing the production process and identifying potential challenges.
- Working collaboratively with the engineering, fabrication, and quality control teams.
- Maintaining accurate project documentation.

Candidates who successfully complete their 3 months’ probation will also be eligible for the company’s health/dental benefits.

Wage is dependent upon experience, certifications and is competitive.

Certifications Required

- PMP Certificate

Skills:
The ideal candidate should have the following skills:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in metal manufacturing and project management.
- Proven ability to develop and maintain detailed cost estimates.
- Strong understanding of welding processes and metal fabrication techniques.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera).
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Successful candidate must be highly skilled in the trade, be able to work alone and or with others.
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
