Logistics Coordinator
Permanent Part-Time Position With Variable Seasonal Hours
Location: Courtenay, British Columbia
Starting wage: $25-$30 per hour, negotiable based on experience and responsibilities
CORE Landscape Products is seeking a dependable and resourceful Logistics Coordinator for our Courtenay location.
This is a recurring, seasonally variable position for someone who enjoys working hard during busy periods and having considerably more flexibility during quieter parts of the year. The right person must be comfortable with fluctuating hours and able to commit to increased availability during our peak spring and early-summer shipping season.
Understanding the Seasonal Schedule
Variable seasonal hours, with approximately 25–35 hours per week during peak periods and reduced hours or scheduled time off during winter. Our approximate annual workflow is:
· Spring through early summer: Our busiest period, generally requiring approximately 30–35 hours per week. Some additional availability may occasionally be requested.
· Mid to late summer: Hours generally begin to decrease as order volume slows.
· September and October: Shipping activity increases again, generally requiring approximately 25-30 hours per week.
· November through early spring: Our quietest period. Hours may be significantly reduced, and the position may include an extended seasonal break or periods with very limited work.
This position may be particularly well suited to someone with complementary seasonal employment, self-employment, studies, family commitments, travel plans, or other interests that benefit from a quieter winter schedule.
We are looking for someone who values the quieter periods but is ready and willing to reliably take on the work when our shipping season becomes busy. This is not an occasional or casual position: dependable availability during peak periods is essential.

About You

You enjoy solving practical problems and finding better ways to organize shipments, inventory, packaging, and warehouse operations. You can work independently without losing sight of the larger team, and you communicate clearly when something needs attention.
You understand that logistics work requires both physical effort and administrative accuracy. You are equally willing to prepare shipping documents, compare freight options, package a complicated order, operate warehouse equipment, and help keep the work area organized.
Most importantly, you are comfortable with the seasonal nature of the position and can commit to being reliably available during our busiest periods.
