Job Posting: Manager - Full-Time Early Childhood Educator (ECE) or Early Childhood Educator Assistant (ECEA)
Role Overview:
The Manager provides leadership and oversight for high-quality, inclusive childcare services in a group setting under the direction of Momentum Childcare. This full-time position requires a commitment of 30–40 hours per week. The successful candidate ensures total compliance with the BC Child Care Licensing Regulation, manages certified staff, handles operational finances, and fosters strong relationships with families and the community.
Responsibilities:
Maintains full legal compliance with the BC Child Care Licensing Regulation
Hires and schedules certified Early Childhood Educators (ECEs) while verifying mandatory BC licenses, criminal record checks, and first aid
Manages waitlist and orientations
Integrates the BC Early Learning Framework into daily care while ensuring fully inclusive practices for children with diverse needs.
Serves as the primary contact for parents, resolves conflicts, and oversees building maintenance and safety protocols.
Requirements:
Experience in management
Proficient administrative functions
Diplomas, certificates, or relevant training in child growth/development.
Early Childhood Educator Certificate or Early Childhood Educator Assistant certification in British Columbia.
Experience in childcare settings.
Strong organizational and customer service skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication.
Superior interpersonal skills, initiative, dedication, and commitment to quality programming.
Friendly, approachable, team player, reliable, and dependable.
Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities.
Initiative, flexibility, and quick decision-making skills.
Current First Aid and CPR certificate.
Satisfactory Criminal Record Check/Vulnerable Sector Search.
