Summary:

iLearn Secondary School is a leading Canadian Provincial online learning high school certified by the B.C. Ministry of Education, serving over 800 students. Our French/Humanities teacher plays a vital role in delivering engaging French and Humanities courses, fostering an effective virtual learning environment, and adapting instruction to meet individual student needs. Qualifications:

- Bachelor of Education or post-degree program in Education

- Valid BC teaching certificate (COQ) and current membership in the Teacher Regulation Branch

Required Skills/Responsibilities

Organization:

Effectively manage email inboxes, contact lists, and class rosters.
Organize and track daily, weekly, and monthly tasks, including grading and feedback.
Maintain accurate documentation and records.
Efficiently organize files and manage resources (e.g., updating broken links and ensuring access to materials).

Systems Management:

Adhere to and manage established systems and processes, such as report writing, preparing tests, and planning orientations.
Ensure compliance with institutional standards and best practices.

Time Management:

Handle fluctuating workloads, including emails, grading, orientations, and office hours while maintaining task deadlines.
Prioritize tasks effectively on a daily and weekly basis to meet goals.
Manage scheduling and deadlines within asynchronous teaching environments.

Attention to Detail:

Maintain high standards of accuracy in documentation, grading, and correspondence.

Multi-tasking:

Balance multiple responsibilities efficiently in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Adaptability & Flexibility:

Adjust to changing priorities and educational needs, while remaining focused and productive.

Communication:

Professionally communicate with students via email, providing guidance, problem resolution, and course assistance.
Build and maintain effective relationships with students and colleagues despite limited in-person interaction.

Technical Proficiency:

Demonstrate proficiency in using online platforms such as Google Meet, Zoom, and learning management systems (LMS).
Perform basic troubleshooting and screen-recording, with a focus on ensuring data privacy and security.

Teamwork:

Collaborate effectively with colleagues, contributing to a positive, supportive teaching environment.
