Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Shipping and Receiving Clerk to join our warehouse team. This role is essential in ensuring the accurate and efficient movement of goods, supporting seamless warehouse operations, and maintaining inventory integrity. The ideal candidate will have experience with warehouse management systems, order fulfillment, and equipment operation such as forklifts and reach trucks. A strong understanding of shipping & receiving processes is crucial for success in this position.

Duties

Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments.
Prepare outgoing shipments ensuring proper packaging for safe delivery
Load and unload trucks efficiently utilizing forklifts while adhering to safety protocols
Maintain accurate inventory records.
Coordinate with carriers for timely pickup and delivery of goods
Ensure compliance with safety standards during all warehouse activities
Keep the warehouse organized, clean, and safe to facilitate smooth operations

Requirements

Previous experience in warehouse distribution or shipping & receiving roles preferred
Ability to operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely
Basic math skills for counting and verifying quantities accurately
Experience with load & unload procedures
Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in shipping documentation and inventory records
Good communication skills to coordinate with team members and carriers
Physical ability to lift heavy loads and stand for extended periods during shift hours
Warehouse experience is highly desirable.

Pay: $20.00-$21.00 per hour
