We are currently seeking an energetic, service-focused, and highly motivated Assistant Food & Beverage Manager to join our leadership team for the 2026 golf season. This is a seasonal, hourly leadership position that plays an integral role in supporting daily operations, leading service teams, and ensuring the delivery of exceptional food and beverage experiences throughout the Club.

Position Summary
Reporting directly to the Director of Food & Beverage, the Assistant Food & Beverage Manager assists in the leadership and execution of all front-of-house food and beverage operations. This hands-on leadership role provides support across restaurant service, banquets, weddings, tournaments, member events, and seasonal programming.
The successful candidate will be a visible leader who thrives in a fast-paced hospitality environment, demonstrates strong operational knowledge, and is committed to delivering exceptional Member and guest experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the daily management of all Food & Beverage operations.
- Lead and supervise service staff during restaurant, banquet, tournament, and event operations.
- Act as Manager-on-Duty during assigned shifts.
- Ensure service standards, policies, and procedures are consistently executed.
- Maintain a visible leadership presence on the floor.
- Support recruitment, onboarding, training, and coaching of service staff.
- Conduct pre-shift meetings and communicate daily operational priorities.
- Assist with scheduling and labour deployment.
- Support opening and closing procedures and ensure all standards are met.
- Monitor service flow to ensure efficient and seamless execution.
- Ensure proper table settings, cleanliness, and presentation standards.
- Respond professionally to Member and guest concerns.
- Assist with inventory controls, beverage management, and requisition processes.
- Coordinate effectively with culinary leadership to ensure smooth service execution.
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, sanitation, and Smart Serve regulations.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of leadership experience within a restaurant, banquet, hotel, private club, or hospitality environment.
- Previous supervisory or management experience required.
- Strong knowledge of restaurant, banquet, and beverage service operations.
- Valid Smart Serve Certification required.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with Jonas POS systems is considered an asset.
- Bilingualism (English and French) is considered an asset.
- Reliable transportation is required, as public transportation does not service the Club.
