Dependable Truck & Tank Limited is currently seeking an experienced Aluminum Welder / Fabricator / Assembler to join our growing team. We are looking for motivated individuals with strong fabrication and assembly experience who take pride in producing high-quality workmanship in a fast-paced custom manufacturing environment.
As a custom fabrication shop specializing in the repair and manufacturing of highway petroleum cargo tankers, trailers, and emergency vehicles, this role offers hands-on work with unique projects and specialized equipment.
Responsibilities:
· Read and interpret basic fabrication drawings and blueprints
· Perform Aluminum MIG and TIG welding
· Fabricate and assemble custom aluminum components and assemblies
· Weld and mount fabricated assemblies onto heavy trucks and tanker units
· Conduct pneumatic testing on completed tanks to ensure no leaks are present
· Operate fabrication equipment, including:
-Hand plasma cutters and torches
-Grinders, groovers, and chamfering tools
-Drill presses, shears, chop saws, and hand tools
· Assist with fitting, measuring, cutting, and assembly work
· Operate crane hoists and occasionally forklift equipment
· Work in a physically demanding environment, including:
-Heavy lifting
-Confined space work
-Shop fabrication and assembly tasks
Qualification:
· Minimum 2+ years of Aluminum MIG and TIG welding experience
· Experience in custom fabrication and assembly
· Strong understanding of measurements and layout work
· Ability to work from blueprints to finished product
· Experience using fabrication and machine shop tools
· Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team
· Candidates must supply their own basic hand tools (major/heavy tools provided)

We also manufacture tankers for municipal maintenance applications. Our custom tanks range in size from 2000-liter truck-mounted units to 60,000-liter B-train units.
