Overview
We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Cake Decorator to join our bakery team. The ideal candidate will have a passion and experience of cake decorating and food presentation, with experience in the food industry. This role involves transforming baked goods into visually stunning desserts that delight our customers. A strong understanding of food safety and handling, along with excellent customer service skills, is essential to ensure a positive experience for all guests. This position offers an opportunity to showcase artistic talent while working in a fast-paced, friendly environment dedicated to quality and customer satisfaction.

Duties

Decorate cakes and baked goods according to customer specifications and bakery standards
Prepare cakes for decoration, including frosting, filling, and layering
Use various decorating tools and techniques such as piping, airbrushing, and fondant work
Ensure all food handling and safety protocols are followed during cake preparation and decoration
Package finished products securely for delivery or display
Maintain cleanliness of workstations and adhere to kitchen sanitation standards
Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, including baking, portioning, and assembling desserts
Provide excellent customer service by discussing decorating options and addressing special requests
Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of orders

Experience

Proven experience in cake decorating or bakery arts is highly preferred
Background in restaurant or food service environments is advantageous
Knowledge of food preparation, baking, and cooking techniques within the food industry
Familiarity with food safety standards and proper handling procedures
Experience with food packaging and presentation techniques
Strong attention to detail with an artistic eye for design and aesthetics
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen setting while maintaining high-quality standards
