Full job description

Job Summary:

Join us at our family owned and operated Placer Gold Mine outside of Dawson City, Yukon until October of 2026 as an Office Assistant/Expediter. This is a seasonal position. We are looking for someone reliable and efficient to work in our fast-paced offices across multiple mine sites.

Responsibilities:

- Clean and organize office, camp and storage areas

- Help process and store incoming freight in a timely and organized manner

- Collect orders and freight from suppliers, move orders and freight between sites

-Foster a strong and respectful inter-office relationship & working relationship with on site mechanics

-Data entry (employee hours, daily equipment checklists, freight)

- 2-way radio communication

Qualifications:

-Class 5 license

-Customer service skills to communicate with suppliers and team members

-Experience with demand planning and sourcing

-Willingness to learn and accept feedback

Offices are located on remote active mine sites. PPE and comfort around large machines in a trades environment is required. This is a camp position with a 12 day on, 2 days off shift. We offer relocation assistance to get to the Yukon however this is NOT fly in fly out work, nor is end of season travel covered. Camp accommodations include a private room, shared wash facilities and a dining hall providing 3 meals a day.

Wages $25/hour with overtime after 8hrs.

11hrs/day, 77hrs/week.

Job Types: Full-time, Seasonal
Contract length: 8 months

Pay: $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 77 per week

Ability to commute/relocate:

Dawson, YT: reliably commute or be willing to relocate with an employer-provided relocation package (required)
