Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and motivated Retail Sales Assistant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will excel in providing exceptional customer service, demonstrating products, and driving sales in a fast-paced retail environment. This role offers an opportunity to develop sales and merchandising skills while engaging with diverse customers. Bilingual abilities and experience in technology sales or product demos are highly valued. The Retail Sales Assistant will play a key role in creating a welcoming atmosphere and ensuring customers find the products they need.

Duties

Greet customers warmly and assist them with their shopping needs
Conduct product demonstrations and explain features to enhance customer understanding
Assist customers with merchandise selection, upselling relevant products to increase sales
Operate POS systems accurately for transactions including cash handling and credit card payments
Maintain organized merchandising displays to attract customer attention
Manage inventory levels and restock shelves as needed
Provide excellent customer service through effective communication, phone etiquette, and active listening
Handle cashier responsibilities including processing transactions efficiently and accurately
Support store cleanliness and organization to ensure a positive shopping environment
Engage in time management to prioritize tasks during busy periods

Requirements

Previous experience in retail sales, merchandising, or technical sales is preferred
Strong communication skills in English; bilingual abilities are a plus (e.g., Spanish, Mandarin)
Proficiency with POS systems, cash handling, and basic math skills for transactions
Ability to perform product demos and explain technical features clearly
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Demonstrated customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor
Ability to manage time effectively during peak hours and multi-task efficiently
Knowledge of retail sales techniques including upselling and cross-selling strategies
Strong phone etiquette and organizational skills for managing customer inquiries
Flexibility to work various shifts as needed, including weekends or evenings if required

Pay: From $18.00 per hour
